Lovey Verma joins Woodbridge Capital as Origination Director, NSW

Woodbridge Capital has appointed Lovey Verma as Origination Director, based in Sydney, strengthening the firm’s origination capability.

Lovey joins the origination team with responsibility for sourcing and structuring new transactions, managing client relationships, and building partnerships with developers, brokers and borrowers.

He brings experience across the full capital stack in Australian real estate, from senior secured debt through to ordinary equity, spanning residential, industrial and commercial assets. That breadth shapes how a transaction is assessed. It means starting with what the deal actually requires rather than with the product closest to hand.

Most recently Lovey led origination at iPartners, focused on property transactions of up to $100 million. Before that he was a senior member of the real estate private equity team at Qualitas, where he partnered with developers and underwrote more than $2 billion in credit transactions. Earlier roles at Pallas Capital and Macquarie Group covered the execution, assessment and analysis of credit transactions.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Economics.

The appointment follows twelve months ago on from opening of Woodbridge’s Sydney office, and continued investment in origination and loan management capability across the eastern seaboard.
