Woodbridge Wins Finance Award at The Urban Developer’s 2025 Urban Leader Awards

Woodbridge Capital is grateful to have received the Finance award at The Urban Developer’s 2025 Urban Leader Awards, recognising leaders who are shaping the future of property, finance and community.

Andrew Torrington, Managing Director and CIO of Woodbridge, was recognised for reshaping how development and construction projects are financed in Australia.

With more than 30 years’ experience across property, construction and finance, Andrew has built a platform defined by transparency, speed and governance in a sector long criticised for opacity.

In just three years, Woodbridge has doubled funds under management year-on-year, financed landmark projects nationwide, and embedded philanthropy through Woodbridge Giving.

Through values-led lending and philanthropy, Andrew and the Woodbridge team are proving that finance can deliver not only strong returns but also stronger, more inclusive communities.

The award celebrates the firm’s commitment to transforming private credit through responsible, transparent lending — empowering developers to deliver projects with clarity and confidence.

Woodbridge was also recognised as a finalist in the Community Leadership category, reflecting the firm’s deep commitment to responsible lending and social impact through Woodbridge Giving. In addition, Executive Director Investments, Matthew Samuels, was named a finalist for Urban Leader of the Year, celebrating his contribution to the future of property and development.
