New NABERS Energy Rating for Retail Stores

ESG Matters - whilst office buildings have been the hot topic for several years there are other property sectors that remain key in the push to reducing the built environments carbon footprint.

For example, the retail sector currently accounts for over 16% of the total energy used by buildings in Australia. NABERS have now launched their retail stores tool designed to cover a wide range retail stores, including department stores, bank branches, electronics, hair and beauty salons, clothing stores, pharmacies and more. The tool can help rate stores inside shopping centres, on street arcades or standalone properties.

NABERS ratings are one of the key data sources used by Woodbridge Capital when assessing loan opportunities and can help asset owners in making energy conscious decisions and improving asset value.
